Tues. evening...a long day starting with our RV going into the dealership for checkup and some work. We hopefully will have it back on Fri.Meanwhile we are finishing packing up the house so we can load a huge trailor tomorrow which the storage company is providing. They drop it off and we fill it then they pick it up and take it to the storage place and we unload it. Sorry...this is simple stuff I know but with energys flitting about and piles of unrelated things still all over the house...small groupings...this seems huge to me right now...once the rooms are cleared I'll feel that I can focus on the next stage.
I was so happy to talk on Skype to our older daughter this morning...catching up on her news and just being able to see her face and hear her jokes.
The weather was so warm this morning in London. It felt like the end of summer. The sun was so bright and the grasses green. The cold front is just coming through...and I am so glad that we seem to be over the colds and have some energy to finish this task.
Our younger daughter visited on the weekend and we celebrated that gathering knowing we won't see each other for a while. Heartfelt indeed.
We are both looking forward to being on the road and taking each moment as it comes.
There will be a slight break here as we shift living quarters and internet access.
For now...more later.

Another load into storage between wet patches of weather here this afternoon.
I did help out a little...but my cold is still there and I had so much trouble focusing on getting things into boxes...which box...why won't it fit in!!!....where did I put that tiny pile of related stuff?...I need a break or I need to take some medicine...More of these?? but I already packed the rest of it! Aaaagaaah!
By the time we got to the storage locker, I pictured me collapsing into a box and the box being packed neatly in a stack by my husband thus leaving me there til spring! Instead I slowed my pace but kept moving. By the end of the load in, I felt better and pleasantly tired which was challenged when we stepped out into a heavy rain storm.
At home now having eaten and relaxed a little so we can face more packing! The rooms are barer. The walls seem naked. The rain pours down.
Yeah things are closer to getting done.

Tis a warm, sunny Friday. My head cold has travelled to my throat while I battle the germs with everything I can think of...except some of the remedies my Mother tried. (ugh!)
The RV has been on the road this afternoon and had a system certified. We are on schedule (Dec 1st) to roll down the road...so far.
The sun is lowering and the boxes are filling each day.
Hope everyone has a fine weekend!

I awoke very early this morning due to my head cold. Felt better being up so I had breakfast and tea and watched the sun rise. The sky was clear as the blueness spread behind the huge bare tree branches. My husband was up early and when we were discussing where to start the day's work...I just couldn't function...the head cold was still sitting there waiting to take over other parts of my tired body. Going back to bed seemed the only sensible thing to do...the sleep was so restorative.
Two boxes have been packed...some craft work is bagged.
I stopped at 10:30 am to celebrate Remembrance Day, proud of the freedoms that I live with today. Also remembering the stories my Mother told me of her life during the Blitz in London, England. She was a young wife very pregnant with my brother but determined to carry on with her daily life which she said many Londoners did even with the bombs falling around them. Her stories were so full of life and people handling unusual situations with strength and courage.
The sun has been wonderful today. I went into my garden and collected some holly and juniper to take with us when we leave this house.
Here's hoping that my cold will fade quickly because I took things slowly today.

The weather is so sunny and warm here in London ON! My head cold which just started this afternoon isn't letting me enjoy this beautiful weather. So I am pacing myself carefully...taking breaks with lots of liquids and medicines...listening to a stroyteller that makes me laugh.Maybe I can still make lists and put things in piles or groups to pack later. Arrrgh, where's my juice? Sigh ... the sun is so peaceful.

Hello and welcome to my blog. I have started this as a way to share our travel adventure with family and friends.
The adventure starts in December. We are packing up the house and going off in our oldish RV for the winter.
Actually the adventure has started as we pack and store a family home that contains 35 years of life and love.
